Two tracks, one programme

The airframe is the programme. The command layer comes first, because autonomy is decided there.

Valkyrie

An uncrewed combat aircraft programme, in design, with a physical demonstrator planned.

The airframe is in design. A physical demonstrator is planned. What it will be is still being decided, and we would rather say that plainly than say more than we know.

ValkyrieOS

The command layer: platform-independent command-and-control and mission autonomy for heterogeneous uncrewed vehicles.

Built first. Today it is a non-lethal, simulation-first demonstrator at TRL 3 to 4, verified and replayable, with a working bridge to real autopilot software. New vehicle types enter by capability descriptor only.

Where it stands

Airframe

In design. A physical demonstrator is planned.

ValkyrieOS

A non-lethal, simulation-first demonstrator at TRL 3 to 4, verified and replayable.

Autopilot bridge

The MAVLink adapter has driven real autopilot software in the loop, ArduPilot SITL, under the same command layer.

Replay

Every mission replays deterministically from an append-only, hash-linked event log.

The Portuguese pathway

The route runs through experimentation and technical validation in Portugal, on a STANAG-aligned pathway. Data shapes at the system boundaries are aligned to STANAG 4586. Alignment is the claim; compliance is not, until it has been earned.

Who we are looking for

A senior autonomy and C2 engineer, an aerospace or propulsion engineer, and experienced uncrewed-systems operators willing to criticise the demonstrator. Based in Portugal.
