Who we are
This website, aleahq.com ("the site"), is operated by Alea ("Alea", "we", "us", "our"). Alea builds AI-supported operational systems for service businesses. Contact: chris.marley@aleahq.com.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what information we collect through the site, why we collect it, and how it is handled. It covers the marketing pages, the Transmissions journal, and the contact and booking forms. It does not cover client engagements, which are governed by the applicable engagement agreement.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, book a call, or sign up for Transmissions updates, we collect what you provide: typically your name, email address, company details, and your message. This information is stored with our database providers and used to respond to you.
Usage analytics. We use privacy-focused analytics (PostHog and Vercel Analytics) to understand how the site is used: pages visited, approximate region, device type, and referral source. Analytics run only after you accept the consent banner. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.
Editor accounts. Publishing access to Transmissions is restricted to Alea editors. Editor authentication is handled by Clerk, which processes editor names, email addresses, and session data under its own privacy terms.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and booking requests.
- To send Transmissions updates you have asked for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also use the unsubscribe page on this site.
- To understand and improve how the site performs.
- To operate the Transmissions publishing system.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.
Where your information lives
The site runs on Vercel. Form submissions are stored with Supabase. Journal content and editor records are stored with Neon (Postgres). Images are stored with Vercel Blob. Editor authentication is provided by Clerk. Scheduling, where offered, is provided by Calendly under its own terms. Each provider processes data in accordance with its own security and privacy commitments.
Retention
We keep contact submissions and subscription records for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or provide the updates you requested. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. To exercise any of these, email chris.marley@aleahq.com and we will respond promptly.
Cookies and consent
The site sets analytics identifiers only after you accept the consent banner. Declining leaves the site fully functional.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
